The Joker is caught, in the end, but Lex Luthor comes to Arkham Asylum to break him free, along with every other criminally insane super villain residing in the asylum. However, the one who was supposed to receive it is no one other than Bruce Wayne himself, who, after a quick run to the dressing room comes back as Batman. The plot revolves around The Joker, who interrupts the award ceremony for “The Man of the Year” in order to claim the prize for himself. Although some of the characters are returning as well, the background story is entirely new and you get to explore a variety of new environments, all of which are filled with enemies, LEGO pieces and many other curious objects. LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes aims to blend the two universes together and see what comes out, for a second time. LEGO is by far one of the most efficient methods of achieving this, especially if you reduce his size considerably and throw him into hilarious situations involving fights with super villains and various other kinds of normal vigilante behavior. Batman may be one of the darkest heroes in comic books, apart from The Punisher, but even he can be made to look cute and harmless, with the right tools.
